A smile from a friend

When you have a problem and you don't know where to go

You can always come to me I'm your friend don't you know.

You say you cannot smile, you've been down awhile.
But I'm here to prove you wrong I bet I can make you smile.

You see I'm writing this just for you I hope that it will do
For I'm not very good at this I admit that its true.

But when dark times come and they cloud out the sun
Don't get down and frown but put on a smile and the battle you'll have won.

For when the day is rainy full of sorrow and despair
And you need someone to lean on count on me for ill be there.

For as the sun is hid by clouds yet it remains in the sky
There is a happiness within you you can find it if you try.

You gotta dig down deep and grab ahold of it
Hang on tight as if to a rope and climb up out of your pit.

A light at the end of the tunnel, a faint glimmer of hope
Keep that as your focus and with any problem you can cope.

So when your feeling down and as gloomy as can be
You can always talk to me ill have a smile ready.

For we have each-other as friends, its all that matters in the end
As we help each-other towards the new system just up around the bend.
